LE LAID PEUT ÊTRE BEAU, LE JOLI JAMAIS
Founded by Olga Lloberes, Rien de Rien fuses a conceptual design approach with the search for beauty, understood as a result of building with architectural rigor.
To build is to inhabit the space, working the void, the bareness, the light, the air, the fragrance. If light and air enter a space, they flood it with life.
We conceive housing as a universe of experiences, creating atmospheres that generate pleasure and sensations that make the owner feel: my world is in this place.
Who we are
Rien de Rien is a small atelier, and deliberately so. Olga Lloberes leads the architecture from Barcelona; Michel Nativel leads design direction from Paris. Between the two of them and Eu Castellà, every project is drawn, argued over and built, with no layers in between.
We take on few commissions at a time. It is the only way we know to be on site, to settle a render finish at the foot of the scaffolding, and to make sure the finished house looks like the one that was promised.
From the land to the plan
Every project begins by looking at the site: the orientation, the wind, the shade of the trees already there. From survey to floor plan, the drawing does no more than confirm what the place was already asking for.
